June 20, 2006 – Parkville’s diverse restaurant community will come together for a sampling of the best they offer during the fifth annual “Taste of Parkville” event to be held Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. under the Parkville Farmer’s Market Pavilion adjacent to English Landing Park.

Event Chair, Siobhann Williams says, “The event’s theme is ‘Christmas in September,’ which ties the event to its charitable purpose, supporting the annual ‘Christmas on the River Festival’ held the first weekend in December each year at English Landing Park. The “Taste of Parkville” will include a Kid’s Korner activities area with face painting, a visit with Summer Santa, activities of all types and an introduction to services in the Parkville area.” The event will also host Parkville restaurants and vendors of food and drink, and provide excitement and entertainment for all.

Tickets will be available mid-July and may be purchased at Home Embellishments, 102 Main Street, and River’s Bend Gallery, 201 Main Street, in Parkville, as well as on the web (website address and additional ticket sales locations to be announced later).
