"Best of 2006" Parkville Chamber of Commerce Awards

The Parkville Chamber of Commerce held its first gala event on January 18 at the Airport Hilton Hotel to recognize local business and community leaders with the Parkville Chamber of Commerce “Best of 2006 Awards”. Chamber members voted on each of seven categories for these special recognitions. Those categories were:

• Best New Business of 2006 Award and the leading nominees were:
o Barkville
o Coffee News Kansas City
o Kwik Car Wash
And the winner in this category was Kwik Car Wash

• Best New Member Award of 2006 and the leading nominees were:
o Coffee News Kansas City
o Kerby Varner
o Kwik Car Wash
o Spellman Medical Foundation The winner in this category was Kerby Varner

• Best Business Appearance of 2006 Award and the leading nominees were:
o Backyard Bash
o The Bonefish Grill
o Commerce Bank
o Kwik Car Wash
o Park University
o Wines by Jennifer

• Most Friendly Service Award of 2006 and the leading nominees were:
o Good Times Carstar
o Kwik Car Wash
o Parkville Eye center
o Platte Valley Bank
The winner in this category was Platte Valley Bank

• Best Employer Award of 2006 and the leading nominees were:
o The Bonefish Grill
o Parkville Animal Wellness
o Parkville Eye center
o Platte Valley Bank

• Dirty Job Award of 2006 and the leading nominees were:

o Xteamer Carpet and Floor Care

• Chamber Gem Award of 2006 for the business or person based on service to the community and the leading nominees were:
